Drove down from Washington State to visit family. The AC in our old ’89 Chevy pick-up died on us in the Central Valley were it was hot. I have had nothing but trouble with the AC in the truck for 10 years. I had taken it to several repair shops and no one was ever able to ever fix it for good. It was always leaking Freon and burning out compressors. I took it to Jackie after two other places would not work on it. He replaced the compressor and recharged it with 134 Freon. A trip to the east bay the next day and the same thing happened. Started to blow warm air and the smell of something burning again. I took it back to Jackie with my tail of trouble. I left it with him for a day and a half. When I got the truck back Jackie had the hood up and told me what he had found. Someone had installed an in-line valve backwards and that had changed the pressure in the system. He also found that the system needed about a half pound more of Freon than the book was asking for. The compressor was running hot with the lesser amount of Freon. He warranted the burned compressor and only charged me for the labor and Freon and a new valve. He could have sold me more parts than I really needed and I would not have known either way. He didn’t.. No one ever took the time to look this hard at my AC problem. We went home in air condition comfort and I finally got the AC in my truck fixed. Thanks Jackie and crew. GOOD JOB !

I called Jackie several occasions, he was always helpful and on time. The lastest was on Christmas 2013 (suppose to be his holiday). Just drive up to the shop, let them know what you need, and they get right to it. I’ve brought my car here a handful of times and I feel their prices and quality of work are excellent. All the mechanics I’ve spoken with are very friendly and have got tons of auto experience. And they’ve got a small waiting room with tons of Motor Trend magazines if you’re interested!
